Thank, I followed your explanation and I replaced 2 damaged plastic hinge. It was easy. It cost me $17.00 CA. Replacement of the keyboard was $60.00 plus labour.

My w key is broken on my HP laptop and now it doesn’t respond fast and acts like a sticky key but it isn’t stuck so if I hold down the key for long enough or just press it once it spams w.

Thanks. Key snapped off, wasn’t broken, but I had a heck of a time getting it back together. The secret was in making sure it is seating properly onto the keyboard on both sides. Once I finally got it to do that, the key just snapped on easy-peasy. Your “situtation 1” inspired me to persevere.

I have a problem with the contact of 2 keys. When I press these bottons they doesn’t work. Somebody can Help me to fix the contact rear the keyboard?
Now the only solution I have found is to remappin the keyboard with ukelele program but I’like to fix definitely the problem…maybe soldering the damaged contact….
