I recently had an issue of screen turning pearl white when I took the computer out of the sleep or hibernation. After reading this thread I tried another trick and it turned out it works. So this is what I did:
– I realized the white screen started turning white after I was doing a presentation and fiddling around with HDMI and miniDisplay ports.
– When I opened the lid from sleep or from hibernation, the screen turned white.
– Then, press WINDOWS and P keys. This is a windows shortcut for the projector, selecting what screen you want to project to the secondary display.
– Then, screen went pitch black. I knew I was on the right track. So I pressed arrow up screen to change from whatever to something else, and suddenly regular screen opens. I selected “PC DISPLAY ONLY” and the white screen problem dissappeared.

My. Compaq was working perfect but after dismantling try to change speakers then I assembled it brought a faint white screen turn off it refused I had turn it on till for waited for 15min then brought the white screen and can’t even boot Up what could be the problem

hi im from the philippines my laptops screen is going white i tried to close it down then open it up still nothings happening sometimes i see some image flashing but it fades back into white ,thank in advance and sorry for the bad english

I have a dell inspiron it works perfectly during start up but as soon as welcome screen comes it goes white

I have a Toshiba satellite S955 the screen turn completely white unless it is moved. I tested it with an external monitor, the external monitor was fine but the laptop screen was still white. Can you please explain how to do this.

well my laptop screen few month ago it gonna white on 2week then it goes ok now the same problem is happening
