i have a toshiba tecra m4-s435. i plug it in to try to use it and the charging light just blinks i got a 12311 error code off it but i cant find the code anywhere to help me with this problem. i asked someone and she said it was the power cord box thing…. i dont know wat it is but i need help please.

Hi, I have a NEC Versa M320 which has died on me (sorry I’m not technical at all). I was installing a new version of AOL and the screen suddenly got vertical lines on it and then the laptop switched off. I turned it back on and got nothing but the power light and the battery light, no fan or anything. I turned it off then on again and only got the power light. Is there anything I can do or is it beyond help? It was bought second hand a few months ago (for my Mums Xmas present) so I have no operating discs etc. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks

I have a Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 with Windows Vista Ultimate. After putting it in standby/sleep mode it does not boot back up. The screen is completely blank – I do not see any images or light at all on the screen. The harddrive, cd, fans all seem to work fine. I tried booting to a CD using several methods including pressing “C” at startup and still absolutely nothing shows on screen. I can’t even access the BIOS at startup. I also tried using an external monitor, but still nothing. I would be very thankful for some help on this one

Turn off the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery. Wait for a few minutes, assemble everything back together and try turning on.

If no help, there could be a problem with one of the memory modules. Try reseating memory modules first. Also, try removing them one by one. If one of the modules is bad, the laptop will turn on when the bad module is removed.

Hello, i have a toshiba, tecra A2. I have tried to reboot my computer but it will not boot up, ive tried it in safe mode, it starts to load up system 32 files but then stops. An error message then pops up half way through saying “The system is not fully installed, please run system again”. I have tried to reboot the system a few times but the same error message keeps popping up.

I would be greatful if you could help

I tried to reformat it with it recover cd,but this time is fail.I got a message is “recording current bad clusters” “trying to recover allocation unit 1,049,459 .I don’t know what is the problem with reformat it.

Probably the hard drive is failing and has to be replaced.

i just purchased a te2100 off ebay. How can i prevent it from having all of those problems so i dont need to fix it years later.

Buy another laptop.

Hey CJ i just purchased a te2100 off ebay. How can i prevent it from having all of those problems so i dont need to fix it years later. Maybe epoxy to hold the video and power board down in case of screws pop up.
