@ Jose,

how to open and service manual for a MSI U100 Notebook. I think the hard drive’s ballring are getting drive and starting making a noise. So I want to open the case and replace it

It looks like the hard drive in MSI Wind U100 netbook mounted under the bottom case.
Take a look at this page with pictures.

In order to access the hard drive and fan you'll have to remove the bottom case. Probably you can do it after all bottom screws are removed.

Info request, HI, would you email me about any info of how to open and service manual for a MSI U100 Notebook. I think the hard drive's ballring are getting drive and starting making a noise. So I want to open the case and replace it. The same noise also could be coming out from the fan. I do want to open it first. Any idea? Thank you very much for your service. Jose

Am I the only one that has had BIOS failures with recent version Acer Aspire laptops? I have tried to help folks with two different ones in the past few months, and I have not been able to salvage either one yet (although one is still under "extended warranty" and may get reapir attention through that avenue).

I have tried to D/L latest BIOS rev'ns, and load them onto flash drives hoping that that they would boot into them, and that would re-build the BIOS, but with no success so far. Any suggestions of a clean way to revive failed Acer BIOS would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks,
Mike
