    Myron O. Camps,
If you want to narrow down the problem, you’ll have to disassemble the laptop. Remove all devices (battery, hard drive, DVD drive, etc…) one by one until you have only motherboard (with video card), CPU and memory left. If the laptop still goes off after 6-8 seconds, it’s possible that the motherboard has been damaged by the liquid spill. If the laptop works fine when it’s minimized, start installing devices and test it after each step until you find a faulty part.
Make sure to reseat the memory module. If you have only one module installed try moving it from one slot to another.
    Reseat all cables and connectors.

    Gohan,
Try uninstalling and installing the wireless card driver. If it doesn’t help, reseat the wireless card, just remove it from the slot and put it back. It’s possible that contacts on the card got oxidized and the card doesn’t make a good connection with the slot.
Check if the wireless card connection settings (manual IP address, encryption key, etc…) are correct, maybe they got changed somehow.

My Dell Inspiron 9300 power light comes on then goes out in about 6 to 8 seconds. I spilt something in it but took the laptop apart and cleaned in good. It did not apper to damage any parts or cause any shorts. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
