Sam,
Why would you pay for something you can download for free? Dell Inspiron 4150 manual is available for download from the Dell website. The manual has step-by-step laptop disassembly instructions and you don’t have to pay anything.

You can find these manuals with exploded diagrams on EBay, well worth the price, I just refurbished an Inspiron 4150 (swapped out mainboard), this manual was a huge help.

I have a Dell Inspiron 500m, the problem is that it wont charge or power any more. I tried another ac adapter but the same problem occurs.
I have taken it apart and had a good look at the power socket on the mobo and it seems fine. Any help would be great.

Wendell,
It’s possible that both pointing devices are disabled and you have to simply enable them.
Check the BIOS settings, it’s possible that you can enable/disable internal pointing devices in there. Also, check settings for the touchpad in the control panel. Make sure both devices are enabled.

all of a sudden when I turn on my Dell 1150 Inspirion, I get a black screen that says decreased available memory, push F1. I use computers but have no idea how to reset bios, or remove sticks..or whatever else..hahahhaha….can anyone explain to me like I’m 5 what I need to do. The computer just hangs too. When I go into system, it says cache memory 128..and the other memory 128…I have 512. Opened up the back and stared at it….didn’t fix the problem..hahaha

Maria,
Test the laptop with an external monitor. Find out if you have the same problem with images on the external monitor.
If external video is fine and this problem appears only on the laptop screen, the problem could be related to the LCD screen/video cable.
If the same defect appears on both screens, internal and external, this could be a software related problem. Maybe the video driver got corrupted or something else is going on with software. Try reinstalling the video driver and if it doesn’t help, reinstall the operating system. Also, there could be something wrong with the graphics card.
