*Thank you*, Miss K! I ran into *exactly* the problem you did (although I did realize there was a MicroProcessor stuck to the bottom of the thermal cooling assembly). Your post gave me the courage to (carefully!) pry the uP off the cooling assembly, and now my 9100 is back humming along!

I have a Dell inspirion B120.
As soon as it starts it gets this staticy-type effect.
As soon as i shake it it go back to normal.
Then back Static.
And also I forgot my password any suggestions?

i have a dell latitude 100l with windows xp and i have been trying to get the wireless internet to work for me for weeks and every single thing i have tried failed even with a strong internet connection. what can i possibly do to get the wireless internet working on my laptop?

hey i got a dell xps m140 and when i turn off the computer it doesn’t turn back on i have to take the screen bezel off and then take the screw holding in the screen then unhook the LCD cable from the back light inverter bar then start it up which sometimes take 10 tries for it to work. then hook the cable up again and put the screen screw in the screws. then pop on the bezel and then screw in the screws.
And also the batter light stays orange like the battery is dying
And to charge the battery up i got to do the above steps turn it then plug the charger in
does anybody have any suggestons

Hello Dell
I have a dell inspiron 8100 my daughter turned the main switch of and the laptop now wont let me in. I followed the instructions that the laptop told me to do like turn it of press f8 and select safe mode but when I do this a blue screen with writing saying that the laptop has shut down to protect my files and things. It would be lovely if you could help me to get into my laptop as I have alot of things I need to get at. Please please help me thanking you so much
