Restore Dell Inspiron 1000 Back To Factory Settings Without CD
February 12th, 2009 at 8:25 am
Hello, everyone;
My Dell Latitude C640 had some issues regarding my CMOS battery, since I bought it refurbished. Before and after I replaced it, it wouldn’t charge my battery or run on its charger cord. I took it apart and looked at the charger port, and it seemed to be fine. I honestly do not know what to do at this point. Anybody have a clue on what I should do?
Thanks for any help and support to this matter.

Hello,
I have a Dell Latitude D510. When I push the button to start it up, nothing happens. No light no sound. I changed the AC adapter and took out the battery but there is still no result. Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks in advance.

I have a dell inspiron 3200 and it was working the other day and now my power light keeps flickering on and off. My battery is dead and doesn’t hold a charge so I use my power cord to run it and it still flickers on and off not allowing me to power it up even if I remove the battery. Can anyone help me figure out why it does this and how to fix it? Thanks!

have an issue with dell d600 I don’t have a battery but i do have a ac adapter, problems is when i disconnect the ac adapter and then plug it back in it takes about a minute before it will power up. Once it has powered up, I can shut down and restart just fine but if i unplug it for even just a second, I have to wait again. Any ideas???
Thanks in advance

frans van Maurik,
In a Dell Inspiron 2600 the inverter board is located inside the display panel, below the LCD screen. You’ll see the inverter as soon as you remove the screen bezel.
Take a look at this laptop display diagram.

David,
You cannot fix the screen if it’s broken but you can buy a new screen for Dell Inspiron B120 here for less than $70. I think that’s a really good price for a new screen. Any laptop repair shop will quote you at least $150 for the screen plus $100 in labor.
