I have a Dell E1705 and recently opened the case up out of curiosity (It’s long past warranty and falling apart anyway). I made sure to re-connect everything, but now it will not start up at all. The “power” light will turn on and the hard drive begins to spin for all of five seconds before shutting off, and there is nothing displayed on the screen. It’s worked fine until now; can anyone give me a clue of what might be going wrong?

David Blow,
In a Dell Latitude C540/C640 both memory slots could be access through the door on the bottom of the laptop as it shown in this instruction.
Looks like you ordered correct modules.
