Here’s Dell Latitude V710/V740 Service Manual.
You’ll have to disassemble the laptop and remove the motherboard. After that you’ll be able to replace the case.

re latitude power & charge prob small chip next 2 power jack needs bridging or replacing n then works just done mine b4 fix dead as a dodo now works a1

I can help you to find the manual but I need the laptop model number. Take a look at the screen bezel. Does it say what XPS you have?
There are some other screws under the keyboard. You cannot remove the bottom cover without removing the keyboard and top cover assembly.

i have a dell xps, dont know what type, but the product number is PP14L. I have tried multiple times to take off the bottom cover, but even though all the screws have been removed, it wont come off. it seems like there is another screw holding down the middle, but i’ve checked and there isn’t. what do i do?

I have DELL XPS M1210. It turns on but there’s no boot up, i mean power light turns on, cooling fan turns on, even it voice try to read the CD once and gets as sleep, no response, during all this process it does’nt show anything on the screen and remains blank.
Once it turned on and worked properly, i restarted and it went back it its stat. Please guide me what could be possiblity. I suspect, BIOS properly not responding…
