The following laptop step-by-step disassembly manuals I have created myself. You can use them if you have a Toshiba laptop and want to repair or upgrade it yourself. You shouldn’t disassemble your laptop if you have no experience with computers because you can easily damage it. Also, you shouldn’t open it if the laptop is still under warranty. I’m still developing new laptop teardown guides and my goal is to add new guides every week. If you do not see a manual for your model, most likely I will add it later. Stay tuned.

    Dan Scarinzi,

I need to put a new fan in my Qosmio G15 and can not find it on your site to be able to take it apart.

I thought that Qosmio G15 and F15 are kinda similar. Aren’t they?

i have a satilite p205 6307. today i connected an external monitor to it and after a while both screens went garbled with with blue and white lines all over both screens with a high pitched screach coming from the speakers. the only way to stop it was to a hard reset. the laptop started again. a short time later it happed again so i did another hard reset. now a short time later both monitors went blank. i tried fn and f5 didnt help. i guess maybe the motherboard is faulty as the blue power light is on

I called toshiba parts warehouse NPD for hinges for my A45-s120, they are very reasonable $30.00 for the left and $35.00 for the right + shipping $10.00, they will be here in 2 days. I would recommend NPD for anyone looking for A45-S120 hinges.

both hinges are broken on the computer (vs display) side of my wife’s laptop. Satellite A20-207. I can do the repair. Are other hinges compatible and what is a good parts reseller? Thanks

hi, i have the toshiba M60 and it has a problem of an overheating graphics chip. as my model is not listet i had a look on similar models. my question is weather the GPU is passively cooled like in the M65 or is there a heatpipe construction to the CPU cooler for it to be actively cooled?

    Thanks in Advance

Hi, i have Toshiba Satellite P100-188 PSPA3E-02W00XEN, the display will only run in 4bit mode on an external monitor, the display has vertical magenta lines on it, every so often these lines clear and when rebooted laptop works normally until it is shutdown and then display resolution is again 4bit and only shows on external monitor, have you any idea why this happens? if i have to replace motherboard / vga card do P100 boards have to be exact match also could i fit P105 board which has integrated graphics chip.
Any help and advice would be much appreciated
