The following laptop step-by-step disassembly manuals I have created myself. You can use them if you have a Toshiba laptop and want to repair or upgrade it yourself. You shouldn’t disassemble your laptop if you have no experience with computers because you can easily damage it. Also, you shouldn’t open it if the laptop is still under warranty. I’m still developing new laptop teardown guides and my goal is to add new guides every week. If you do not see a manual for your model, most likely I will add it later. Stay tuned.

I have a Satellite 2450-201 and it only came with a 256MB Memory so does anyone know if it is possible to increase the memory and how do I do it. I took apart the back of it but couldn’t seem to find anything that looks like a memory part. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

    Nick King,

I’m looking for a free (obvously) repair manual for my Toshiba Equium A200-15i. I need to replace the LCD surround

I think that your Equium A200 would be similar to Satellite A215.

    Steve,

The guide for the Tecra M3 is incorrect it points to a Tecra M2, The ram is under the keyboard not the base of the notebook

I know that. Take a look at the first sentanse in the disassembly guide. It says:
Toshiba Tecra M2 laptop is very similar to Toshiba Tecra M3 and share the same disassembly steps. Here’s the main difference. Tecra M3 doesn’t have a memory slot that you access from the bottom of the laptop as it’s shown on the step 2. Both memory slots in Tecra M3 are located under the keyboard, as it shown on the step 3.

why is the model “equium” not listed anywhere?even on the toshiba website itself, cant get help

Because “equium” is not sold on the USA. Search for a similar Satellite version.
