The following laptop step-by-step disassembly manuals I have created myself. You can use them if you have a Toshiba laptop and want to repair or upgrade it yourself. You shouldn’t disassemble your laptop if you have no experience with computers because you can easily damage it. Also, you shouldn’t open it if the laptop is still under warranty. I’m still developing new laptop teardown guides and my goal is to add new guides every week. If you do not see a manual for your model, most likely I will add it later. Stay tuned.

Hi there, I have been having a problem finding a disassembly service manual, with the pictures for my Toshiba P-770 (PSBY3U-10603)so that I can disassemble it to install a second hard drive cable and wonder if you possibly have any updated new manuals or know of a similar Toshiba manual that I could use. I do know that the P-770 / P-775 are the same. I have purchased the cable from Toshiba parts, and realize that the laptop needs to be disassembled to the point where I have access to the inside of the bottom case cover. This is where the hard drive cable board needs to be attached to the inside of the bottom laptop case cover with 2 screws. I would appreciate any info that you have and can share with me. Thank you, and hopefully you can provide some helpful info. Thanks again.

    @ Phillip,

I have a Toshiba L35 and am looking for the Jumper so I can reset the BIOS. Do you know where I can find it in that model?

Maybe in the memory compartment under the memory module?
Could be marked B500 or C88.

    @ william,

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop 315/cdt Series, and I forgot the password to start, how could they?

Are you talking about the BIOS password?
Take a look at this page: http://www.laptoprepair101.com.....ptop-bios/
This tool works well for most older Toshiba laptops.

    Jhay27,

So i have one last question, will it be safe if i use external keyboard, wireless or via usb temporarily?

I don’t think you’ll be able to use an external keyboard.
If your internal keyboard has a problem with the S key, it will continue typing on its own even if you use an external keyboard.
You can disconnect the internal keyboard from the motherboard and use an external keyboard after that. It’s safe.
