Was thinking of tossing the laptop and did a quick google search which brought me here. Dusted off the old solder gun and just heated those 4 points and applied new solder, boom fixed! I would like some help with my A200 Toshiba Laptop: it goes off suddenly. Without the main power connection, WITH the main power connection, with the battery in (battery + main power) or not (without the main power), battery only the same problem: it goes off suddenly!..
..when I plugged in the power for recharge… in 3 seconds the laptop was off and now, from time to time is going off. Sometimes seconds from the start, other times minutes, or… doesn’t stop at all (till my restart).

Sounds like a serious hardware related issue. Most likely there is a problem with the motherboard and it has to be replaced.
