If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.
If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.
I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.

Aaron,
I’m not familiar with Satellite Pro M30 laptop. Does it look like Satellite M30 laptop on this disassembly guide? If it does, then I think it’s the same laptop, but different name and you can use a fan part number from Satellite M30. The DC fan part number is: P000370160. Google for the part number or search on eBay and you’ll find it.

Hi cj,
I cannot boot from the drive at all, nor wil it appear under safe mode. In BIOS it is NOT listed under the cd/dvd drives section. But under IDE devices it appears. In windows the drive dows not show in the explorer, but it appears under devices with a failure code that states it cannot be loaded due to errors. i have tried checking for virus, new driver, roll back but nothing seems to work. The new drive I got did not work either and shows the same problem. I am wondering if part of the connector may have gone bad and the power pin is good but nothing else will talk properly to the drive. If I go to diag tools for toshiba I get a failure for the cd drive but it doesnt say whats wrong and how to fix. So Im stumped

Hi There, having trouble with my m35x-s111 dvd-rom/cdrw. The laptop shows the drive in bios and diag but comes up with failure. Tried new drive with same results, it just says driver failed to load and drive error. I want to try a new connector for the motherboard. Any ideas would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Brett,
Here’s a part number for Toshiba Satellite M55 touchpad cable: K000028130. Google it and you’ll find it right away.

The touchpad cable was accidentally cut on my M55-S325. Can I just get a replacement cable or is the cable part of the touchpad? What is the part number to replace either the cable or the entire touchpad if necessary?
