How to find Toshiba laptop part number? If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.

If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.

I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.

Here are more tips for finding a correct part for your notebook.

    Hi Steven,
Here is a guide I’ve created for opening Toshiba Satellite P30 and P35 case. I haven’t created a guide for disassembling the LCD screen for this model, so you can use Toshiba Satellite P25 guide for example.
I can look up the video cable part number, but you gave me a wrong part number. The laptop model number is located on the same sticker as the serial number. For example:
    Toshiba Satellite P35-S605 PSP30U-21V001.

To fix a problem with Toshiba Power Saver software I would try to uninstall it first. Then you can download it again from Toshiba website and reinstall. If it doesn’t help, I would uninstall it and use the Windows software instead. Also you can backup all important data and run a Toshiba restore DVD to revert the laptop software back to original factory defaults.

    Hey Will,
Unfortunately you cannot use the BIOS password removal tool to clear the password. With Toshiba Satellite M30 and M35 there is only one way to clear the password – to get a special code from Toshiba. You can try to call to Toshiba and explain your situation.

    Mark,
Hinges are expensive. I was able to find hinges for Toshiba Satellite A45 here for under $70. That’s a good price. Make sure to buy correct hinges. It looks like 2 different types are listed for Satellite A45.
For laptop with letter “C” stamped on Base in battery area:
    Left hinge: P000392250
    Right hinge: P000392260
For laptop with letter “S” stamped on Base in battery area:
    Left hinge: P000394150
    Right hinge: P000394160
Contact a seller to confirm that the hinge you buy will fit your into your computer.

I read your guide to replacing the LCD hinges on my A45, and I’m sure I could do it… but where do you buy the parts? A quick search on eBay found me something that sounded like a hinge for an A75, but it was like $120!!! Seems to me, these should be 25 cent parts, so that can’t be right.
Poking around on Toshiba’s site I didn’t find where you can buy replacement OEM parts either.

There is no BIOS update for Toshiba Satellite M55-S3294 on Toshiba tech website. Moreover, there is no downloads for BIOS at all, even for v1.70. I guess you are supposed to run whatever you have.

    Highspeeddirt,
I can check for the latest BIOS update for your laptop if you give me the laptop model. For example Satellite M55-S2253. Each model has different BIOS versions.
