How to find Toshiba laptop part number? If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.

If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.

I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.

Here are more tips for finding a correct part for your notebook.

    Mark,
Hinges are expensive. I was able to find hinges for Toshiba Satellite A45 here for under $70. That’s a good price. Make sure to buy correct hinges. It looks like 2 different types are listed for Satellite A45.
For laptop with letter “C” stamped on Base in battery area:
    Left hinge: P000392250
    Right hinge: P000392260
For laptop with letter “S” stamped on Base in battery area:
    Left hinge: P000394150
    Right hinge: P000394160
Contact a seller to confirm that the hinge you buy will fit your into your computer.

I read your guide to replacing the LCD hinges on my A45, and I’m sure I could do it… but where do you buy the parts? A quick search on eBay found me something that sounded like a hinge for an A75, but it was like $120!!! Seems to me, these should be 25 cent parts, so that can’t be right.
Poking around on Toshiba’s site I didn’t find where you can buy replacement OEM parts either.

There is no BIOS update for Toshiba Satellite M55-S3294 on Toshiba tech website. Moreover, there is no downloads for BIOS at all, even for v1.70. I guess you are supposed to run whatever you have.

It’s a Toshiba Satellite M55-S3294. Currently running Phoenix BIOS v1.70.

Standing by for your reply. Thanks!

    Highspeeddirt,
I can check for the latest BIOS update for your laptop if you give me the laptop model. For example Satellite M55-S2253. Each model has different BIOS versions.

    I have a Satellite M55 and it’s currently running Phoenix BIOS v1.70.

According to Toshiba’s website there isn’t an update for it but I’ve found that the Toshiba site sometimes is behind on updates, example it said there wasn’t a video driver update for my machine but the Intel site had one from just a couple weeks ago.

Anyway, can you confirm if there is a BIOS update to v1.70? I’ve heard there was one which would help with fine tuning my machine.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey All,

Thanks for the help. I fixed the issue. One of the pins on the system board where the screen connects was bent. I straightend it and plugged in the screen and it works perfect.

    Thanks,
    Alexander

Thanks a bunch! When I went to the link you provided, the vendor only listed the A15-S1291 as a compatible model. I have the A15-S1292. Are these two models essentially the same and thus the P000377310 fan would work on either model?
    Thanks,
    Tim
