I want to replace a failed part in the Toshiba laptop myself. How can I find the part number?
If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.
If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.
I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.

I am trying to find a LCD replacement Screen for a Toshiba Satellite
A205-S4797 laptop model number PSAFOU-06H009. I have a local dealer that will install the screen for $150.00. I was told that it would probaly be cheaper to purchase the screen from internet than for them to get it direct from dealer. Can you help me identify the part number that is needed ?

I’m so sorry to take up so much space, but would you please give me the part number for the replacement lcd screen just to be sure I don’t make a huge mistake? Again, mine is a Toshiba P35-S6112. Thank you again!

Hi, me again. After much research, it seems best to simply replace the screen, and apparently, Toshibas are the easiest (?). I downloaded the instrux from one of your links (or maybe even your sight)…is it really that easy? I can follow those instrux!

Toshiba doesn’t sell the entire upper assembly as a single part, there is no part number.
I would call this part display assembly.

I’m not familiar with Acer laptops. Do you have a pointer in the middle of the keyboard, usually it’s a yellow/red button and you can use it for moving the cursor instead of the touchpad.
In some cases, when this pointer on the keyboard fails, the touchpad works very unpredictable. The cursor even may move by itself.
If you don’t have this pointer in the middle of the keyboard, you may have a software relate problem. Did you try booting in Safe Mode and testing your touchpad in there?

Yes, I can.
There are four different LCD screens listed for this part number (PSL2XU-02000F), here they are: A000002050, A000002070, A000004370, A000004090.
You can use either of them because they all work with the same video cable: A000000650.
Google for the part number and you’ll find one. Just in case, you can contact the seller and make sure this screen will work with your laptop. I’m pretty sure it will.
