If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.
If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.
I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.
Here are more tips for finding a correct part for your notebook.

Okay, thank you so much! I’m really glad to know before I order the part! I downloaded the instrux for pulling it apart, and I’ll do that. I really appreciate your help!

Malia,
This part number is correct.
OK, there are two LCD screens listed for this laptop K000023240 (LG Philips LP171WX2-A4K1) and K000023320 (AU B170PW01). Here’s the catch. Even though both LCD screens are similar, they require specific parts. I’m not sure witch part is different, probably hinges.
You’ll have to find out witch LCD is installed on your laptop and replace it with the same model. There is no way I (or anyone else) can tell you witch one is installed on your notebook just by looking at the laptop model number, it’s necessary to remove the LCD screen and take a look on the back side of the screen.

I’m SO sorry, but I’m back with the right number (I hope!): PSP30U-20N001. I need the replacement LCD worse than ever now!

Malia,
Oh, sorry, it’s a Toshiba P35-6112 that I need the part number for the replacement LCD.
Still not enough information. Please provide the laptop model number, something like PSAFOU-06H009. You can find this number on the same sticker with the serial number.

Patricia,
Are you sure that you are looking for a 12.1″ screen. I believe Satellite A25 comes with a 15″ screen.
Here are part numbers for a 15″ screen for a Toshiba Satellite A20/A25 laptop.
P000367840, P000367850, P000379090, P000383670.

Need part number for the LCD screen 12.1″ for my Toshiba A25-S207 laptop. It no longer has the original LCD screen so I can’t get the number I need from it.
Thanks so much.

MunKiy,
PA3373-1MPC is not the laptop part number. If you can take a picture, upload it somewhere (flickr.com for example) and then link to it, I can take a look and maybe guess the model.
Also, you can try this. Boot the laptop into Windows. After that go to the run box and type msinfo32. In the system summary take a look at the system model line on the right side. It’s possible that you’ll find the laptop model in there. I just tried it on a Toshiba Satellite A105 and it worked.

So, here is my problem: I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite laptop at a garage sale for rather cheap. The previous owner did not have any of the original documentation or the recovery disk anymore as they were lost in a previous move… Now, it seems that he formatted the HDD without having the proper drivers handy.
How would I go about finding what the exact model ( I.E., A60, A75, etc.) is if the only thing I have to go on is the part number on the sticker on the under side of the machine? If it is of any assistance, the number I’m referring to is PA3373-1MPC.
I’ll be quite thankful for any help you can give me in this.

Ron Holland,
These part numbers should work for all Toshiba Satellite A60 and A65 laptops:
- display latch: V000912750
- display latch knob: V000912760
- display latch spring: V000912770
If you buy these parts separately, they are expensive. Here’s what you can try. You can buy the whole LCD bottom cover assembly. The part number: V000040370
I believe the LCD cover assembly comes with latch, knob and spring.
If you search for V000040370 here, you’ll find this cover starting $10+plus shipping.

Regarding my previous post (#400): Make that P/Ns V000912750 and V000912760. I found the latch at sparepartwarehouse.com but I really need the knob and would prefer to buy both parts from the same place.
