If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.
If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.
I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.
Here are more tips for finding a correct part for your notebook.

I have a toshiba qusimo g35-av600,
its no longer under warranty.
A few weeks ago when I went to play my online game,it failed to load, saying my graphics card wasnt good enough.
I played the game for 3 yrs on that laptop.
I couldnt find an update for my nvidia graphics driver,I winded up restoring windows because upon trying to uninstall the nvidia driver then reinstall,it failed and I could not reboot, even in safe mode,or vga.
now, when it boots up all the letters and numbers are missing in places and there is various symbols.
even when I press f8,the options are missing letters and numbers in the words.
It will only boot up in safe or vga mode, and the screen has blocks all through it.
I have come to the conclusion the motherboard must be the issue.
I cant find one anywhere.
Any help on this?
Am I right,is it the motherboard?
also,if I uninstall the vidia driver,it will boot up ,but the screen has the same problems.
Ive completely took it apart, and cleaned the fans, and it still has the same problems.
BTW I wish I knew of this site before I did that,I had loads of fun,not knowing what to take apart first
only thing I didnt do was take the cpu out in your final step.

I am using a Toshiba Satellite M55-S325 here at work per my employer, and it has come to me with inoperable ethernet connection.
1.) I have run windows updates,
2.) verified that the device is enabled in the BIOS, applied the latest BIOS v2.10 update,
3.) and run the version 10.66.4.3 update for drivers for the Marvell Yukon 88E8036 device.
Alas, still no success.
Employer tells me that he used this laptop sparingly, and that within past several months, it stopped working. The LED’s on the RJ45 port do not light up when a working cable and router are plugged into the laptop.
So my best guess is that the physical hardware itself became damaged at some point.
Do you believe this to be a likely problem, or could there be another solution I am unaware of? I am reading of various overheating and other such problems with these laptops, but so far, have not had any of the sound, V92 modem, heat or other such problems others are having with this or similar toshiba laptops.
Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking at purchasing a used Toshiba Satellite 1415-s173 with a broken screen. I have replaced many screens in the past but able to get exact # from back of screen. I am not able to open this one until I purchase it. I want to know how much a replacement screen will cost in order to know if this would be worth it for me. I deal with a site called laptopaid and they use different part #’s. I have been on Toshiba’s site looking for this # but havent found it. Can you tell the replacement # just from the model?
LP150×08 A3 is an example of the information they require to locate replacements.
Hope you can help.

Joe,
You can use DVD drives with the following Toshiba part numbers: K000046050, K000050170, K000054040, K000056410. They all are double layer super multidrives and interchangeable.
