If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.
If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.
I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.
Here are more tips for finding a correct part for your notebook.

I have a toshiba satellite M45-S359
Model No. PSM42U-017006
The dc jack is faulty, and can’t get a good connection to power up the computer and battery is dead. But before that problem occurred, when the computer was the cooling fan wouldn’t come on, and after approx 20 mins the computer would shut down. I was going to
1. Get new dc jack, and
2. Get new cooling fan.
Then run diagnostics, e.g.BIOS, etc.
Comments, advice?

Hi,
So called “spill resistant” did not handle glass of red wine. I need to find out keyboard part number. I have Tecra A7 PTA71E-09400MCZ. I know this is not model for US market, but someone could know the answer anyway as I am 100% sure the exactly same keyboard is used in other models. I have seen it across several Satellites and some of Tecra A8 has it too (they even share the power button panel) I don’t think so Toshiba uses different keyboards only different keyboard vendors. It is 87 keys keyboard with no trackpoint. Windows key located at left down corner. You can see on website couple of photos that this is standart toshiba keyboard. But labeled with part numbers which doesn’t fit anything I’ve seen. Can you tell me any toshiba keyboard (probably from tecra or satellite ) which is same as mine? I don’t care about language as I can swap buttons and I am using english layout anyway.
Many thanks

Ed,
For this model Toshiba doesn’t sell latches separately. The latches are a part of the LCD bezel (LCD mask) – the plastic frame around your LCD screen. If the latches are broken, you’ll have to replace the LCD bezel.
Here’s the part number.
V000100010 for 15.4″ LCD bezel with web camera.
V000100020 for 15.4″ LCD bezel without web camera.
