How to find Toshiba laptop part number? If your Toshiba laptop is not under warranty anymore and you have decided to open and repair it yourself , then you should know how to find a part number for the laptop part you want to replace. Almost every part and cable in Toshiba laptops has its own part number and should be replaced only with the same part or a substitute part. To find the part number look for a sticker or for a sign on the part. Toshiba part number would be something like V000040870, A000004270, P000343780, etc. After you find the part number you can search here.

If you cannot find a part number for your Toshiba laptop, I can help you. Just leave me a comment with the part name you are looking for, the laptop model name and the laptop model number. For example: laptop model name Toshiba Satellite A75-S211 and laptop model number PSA70U-0WK00G. This information is located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop.

I would be able to help to find a part number only for laptops sold in the USA.

Here are more tips for finding a correct part for your notebook.

    Shannon,

my husband spilled milk all our keyboard, some keys don’t work as a result. I am trying to figure out what replacement keyboard I need to order? I have a Toshiba Satellite M55-S3315. Part No. PSM50U-0M901V.

There is only one keyboard listed for your Satellite M55. The keyboard part number is K000027960.
You can find a new replacement keyboard here very inexpensively. Good luck!

It turns out that the CPU heatsink for the Toshiba Qosmio F15-AV201 corresponds to Toshiba part no. P000409260 which is usually labeled “FIN” .

As for the VGA heat sink, the good news is that factory direct replacements are available; The bad news is that it has no Toshiba part number as it can only be obtained by buying the F15 system board — PN : P000415760 , “PCB SET ASSEMBLY, FCLSY1″ . In other words, the VGA heat sink is “integrated” with the system board. I have no idea why Toshiba did this as the heat sink is clearly a separate part and can be removed. And unfortunately, the price of the system board is upwards of $360 USD new.

    russ dean,

My six year old Toshiba A15-S127 would not system restore, it would not rewrite in certain sectors. I purchased a new hard drive. Can you help me replace my hard drive?

It shouldn’t be very hard because the hard drive can be accessed from the bottom of the laptop. Take a look at this disassembly guide for Satellite A10/A15 laptops.
In the step 4 you can see where the hard drive is located. Remove the old drive and transfer mounting bracket to the new one. Install new hard drive into the laptop.
In order to reinstall factory software (OS and applications) you’ll have to run the recovery disc (supplied with the laptop).
Insert the recovery disc into the DVD drive and turn on the laptop. It should boot from the recovery disc. Follow instructions on the screen.

I understand that I need an ESD–I live in the backwoods of the BigIsland of Hawaii (city-Kapaau, state-Hawaii). If you think stuff is expensive–try living here, we pay a shipping fees that other non-usa countries pay. Please help

“Do you really need heat sinks or you are asking about cooling fans?”

I was referring to the heatsinks, not the fans, and I really need them. :)

    Jonathan Busby,

I’ve been looking for new factory direct heatsinks ( vga and cpu ) as replacements for the ones I’ve removed from my currently disassembled Toshiba Qosmio F15-AV201 laptop. ( model/part # PQF10U-00K00H )

Do you really need heat sinks or you are asking about cooling fans?
    CPU fan part number: P000388590
    VGA fan part number: P000412700.

The numbers on the CPU and VGA heatsinks respectively are : Z41016 and Z40924 . There don’t appear to be any other markings.

More curious is the fact that one of Toshiba’s Authorized Parts Distributors does not seem to carry these specific parts. :

Might anyone know where to find these heatsinks?
