Anybody had any power connector problems? I have fixed them on toshiba before but never Tpad. I have a tpad R40 that will run from the battery but will not show any AC when plugged in. It is not a AC adaptor problem as I have 2 adaptors and they both are the same problem. If I wiggle the connector a lot it will flash the AC light on the laptop. Pretty sure I am on the right track here just need some confirmation. The connector looks like a real bugger to remove and replace.

im doing laptop repairing.so now i have a ibm t20 lap.when i press the power button it’s on for sceond and off.that mean hdd light on for second .can you please tell me the way.i can replace motherboards chip also..whats the error.its comes with power chips or any other?.if comes with power chip what is tha chip ? and i have a t20 motherboards to remove it..thanks a looooot.happy life..

Are you asking about white and black wires? These are wireless card antennas, route these wires so they go to the wireless card and then connect them to the card.
White cable to the main connector and the black one to the auxiliary connector.

i have a Ibm T43 that I am finishing from repairing but have come against a wall. There is 2 connections that come from te screen that need connecting. I see where one os placed but there is another one that i dont see where to connet it.
these wies come from left hindge but i do not see where to re-connect this wire.

It’s not just a cable from the motherboard to the inverter, you actually need a new video cable. You can find the part number on the cable itself (FRU number). You can find a replacement on eBay, just search for “IBM R40 video cable”. If you are not sure witch cable to buy, contact the seller, probably they can tell you if the part is compatible.

please does anyone have the replacement part numbers for the inverter and the thin ribbon cable from the motherboard to the inverter on a IBM R40 thinkpad as these are both broken and is there and agent in Netherlands or UK that has these in stock?
