@ haniz,

why when i open my laptop the screen is larger?

What do you mean by that? All icons and text larger than used to be?
Check the display settings. Make sure your screen resolution is set to max.

@ Laptop Help,

yesterday I dropped my little Eee PC netbook, and the laptop was miraculously fine, until today when I used it again and now the right side of the computer screen is all white. How can that be fixed? Can it be fixed without getting a new screen?

You can try reseating the video cable connectors on both ends. Maybe one of the connectors got loose.
If it doesn't help, most likely you'll have to replace the screen. Probably the screen was damaged.
Here's an example of replacing damaged screen on Asus Eee PC 1201n notebook:

@ Ash,

Have got a kind of ink. inside the screen. If pressed moves around. Is it possible to remove it with a syringe?

Sounds like your LCD screen is cracked and has to be replaced. You cannot fix it.

@ Phil,

The laptop works for now but water marks are annoying. I might just buy a replacement screen and base

That's a good idea. New screens are not expensive these days.

So...I have a similar issue with my Inspiron 14S (N4010). I took the laptop completely apart. I also found other issues with the base (nutserts for the lcd screen were broken and will be buying another base). So, was your fix the optical layers or the backlight tube? The laptop works for now but water marks are annoying. I might just buy a replacement screen and base all together and wait until I fiddle with it again.

Yesterday took apart and wash my hp530 notebook LCD screen with water damage. The screen itself was working just fine but it had 1 different problems. Extra side water color But open it correctly.

@ jose emmanuel,

I have a samsung 19 inch monitor with two patches of water just behind the soft outer layer of the lcd screen- think that monitor too can be taken apart?

I'v never done it on an external monitor. Can it be take apart? Probably yes. Is it easy? Probably not.
Probably it's time for a new monitor.
