You can damage the keyboard by taking it apart. Do you know that you can buy a new keyboard for Pavilion ZE5400 series for about $30 here? Just search for “HP ZE5400 keyboard”
I would recommend to contact the seller before buying the keyboard, just to confirm that you are buy the right one.

I have an HP Pavilion ze5460us laptop, key “O” doesn´t work and it beeps for 5-10 seconds on startup. I want to take apart the keyboard and check that specific key. After taking out and disconnecting the keyboard, the underside has a clear plastic cover which is bonded to the main board of the keyboard. The small screws which I suspect have to be removed to completely disassemble the keyboard are covered by this clear plastic shield. My question is, should I expect any complications when I take out the plastic cover and remove the screws to disassmeble the keyboard?

my 700 compaq laptop won’t boot or start. only the led light is on. replaced the cmos battery on motherboard and it worked briefly but then went dead again. what could cause this and can i fix it? thanks in advance for any help!

i need serious help with my nx7010. my power cable is plugged in and i’ve triple-checked that nothing is loose. but what happens is that the battery charging LED sporadically shows a red (charging) light, a fully charged green once in a blue moon, and half the time it shows no light i.e. it’s not reading any incoming power.
BUT the strange thing is that on my system tray (win XP) it says “On AC power”. WTF!?!?!?!

If your laptop doesn’t work with three different batteries then most likely there is something wrong with the laptop itself.
Remove the battery and start the laptop from the AC adapter. Does it work from the AC power?

i bought a compaq armada on ebay, i got 3 batteries, but the laptopl only lights a few buttons a second and then goes out, is there something wrong with the laptop , or all the batteries, that were sold almost new, not anygood, i pushed the button on the back of them and get know light.

whenver i login to my laptop,window explorer gives error,tht window explorer is not responding and then it refreshes and again the same error message came again.Please suggest me why it is and how can i reasolve it.It is window explorer not the IE
