I recently purchased a used HP/Compaq NC6000 laptop. It's missing: power supply/power cord, hard drive, hard drive carriage, and hard drive security screw. I tried your link to find the parts, but it only defaults to e-bay's main page and not to rover.ebay.com (broken link?). I paid very little for the laptop and would very much like to keep it that way. Can you direct me to a site to get used (working) parts that are missing with this laptop?

I hope this question is acceptable in this part of your site.

I have an old Acer travelmate 220 which I use only as a spare. The rtc battery died. It is a BTY LI 3V CR2032T6 210MAH 50MM and it seems to be impossible to get a replacement retail in the UK. A helpful vendor has suggested an alternative in the form of an IBM P/N 02K7063 which is a Lithium Manganese Dioxide. Voltage: 3.0V. Capacity: 220 mAh. It seems to have the correct connector, but in any case I don't mind a bit of soldering. I am willing to risk the machine, because it is old and useless without a replacement battery, but can you tell me whether (a) I am likely to be wasting my money because the thing just won't work, (b) whether you see any safety implications.

Pat,

I have done a search on ebay and have found several listed but they all have different descriptions. Are all of these compatible?

Dell Laptop Inspiron Video Card 32MB 5160 R772 -AL
Dell Inspiron 5150 5160 32 MB Video Card P6959 TESTED
Dell Inspiron 5150 5160 32MB video card M5322 NVIDIA

Looks like they all compatible with Dell Inspiron 5160 laptop.

I need to replace a DEll Inspiron 5160 video card and want to make sure I purchase the correct part. I have limited knowledge of the requirement terminology and have looked in the owners manual for help and only found that the video memory size is 32 mb or 64 mb. I have done a search on ebay and have found several listed but they all have different descriptions. Are all of these compatible?

krish,

I own Toshiba M55-S135 Satelite lap top which has PSM 50U-02L01C. Could you please give the name and part # for the item just below the four indicator lights for Power, Battery etc front side of laptop on the extreme left hand side. I need the front cover (I presume as it is owned by my daughter) which is missing.Inside there is a small light glowing. Possible availability & price.

Not sure what part you are asking about. Is it the wireless card switch cover? That's my guess because you mentioned the small light glowing.
I think the front cover you are asking about is a part of the laptop base assembly. Here's the part number for the laptop base assembly: K000030940
That's my best guess without looking at the laptop.
