I had the same problem with my fan. I suggest you clean it using cotton buds soaked in soapy water then lubricate the fan bearing with castor oil using an injection needle. try it with extreme care it still works for me

About everyone that bought a Sony VGN-CS series laptop is waiting for this manual. Can you (or anyone) post it? FWIW the one listed here is the previous series.

I need tha manual for Vaio VGN-CS115D, or at least someone who could tell me how to make the fan noise stop.

It depends on what kind of noise you have. In some cases cleaning the fan will help. If not, probably you’ll have to replace the fan.
