I guess U,I,O,J,K,L,M keys works as numbers 4,5,6,7,8,9,0 because you have NumLk enabled. To disable NumLk press the Fn key and hold it down and at the same time press once on the NumLk key which could be found in the top row. After you disable NumLk function, you’ll get your letters back.

Did you test the laptop with an external monitor? Can you get video on the external monitor?
If both internal LCD and external monitor have no video, the first think to check with be RAM. Try reconnecting memory modules.

hey guys HELP have a question i have 2nd hand 2300 acer laptop
just installed new keyboard and having problem with keys secondary numbers on keys uiojklm letters only rec6gnise
when i hold funtion key otherw5se it defaults to secondary numbers seems like a calculator SPELLING ERRORS ON PURP6SE

I have an Acer 2702LMi which has had a large quantity of red wine spilled upon it! Needless to say it doesn’t switch on any more. I have stripped it down and cleaned as much as I dare but without a service manual I am reluctant to proceed any further. Does anyone have a copy of this model service manual that they could send me? I have a service manual for a Travelmate 270 Series but there are vast differences between models. Any help would be appreciated very much. TIA.
