I have an Acer 2702LMi which has had a large quantity of red wine spilled upon it! Needless to say it doesn’t switch on any more. I have stripped it down and cleaned as much as I dare but without a service manual I am reluctant to proceed any further. Does anyone have a copy of this model service manual that they could send me? I have a service manual for a Travelmate 270 Series but there are vast differences between models. Any help would be appreciated very much. TIA.

Sounds like a software related problem. Can you boot laptop in Safe Mode.
Here’s something to try. Start the laptop and press F8 as soon as logo appears on the screen. From the boot menu choose “Last Known Good Configuration” and press enter.
As the last resort, you can reinstall the operating system from the recovery disc.

1. It’s possible the AC adapter is dead and the battery is discharged. Can you test the AC adapter with a voltmeter?
2. It’s bad motherboard.
